Was talking to VN and watching American idol a while back…

and Saisha’s started off with this number .. and .. it was pure magic..

YESTERDAY
(John Lennon – Paul McCartney)

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away oh I believe in yesterday
Suddenly I’m not half the girl I used to be
There’s a shadow hanging over me oh yesterday came suddenly
Why he had to go I don’t know he wouldn’t say
I said something wrong now I long for yesterday

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away oh I believe in yesterday
Why he had to go I don’t know he wouldn’t say
I said something wrong now I long for yesterday

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away oh I believe in yesterday
I believe in yesterday

vulnerable , soul-stirring , lyrical .. i ll do anything to get the power to pen down my thoughts so well…

love this song.. and today loved it a little more as she sang it!

Yesterday is one of my favs.. A very lovely song!! It is also the most covered song in the history.. This song just roxxx… ๐Ÿ™‚
I dunno how that girl must hav performed it but Beatles rock in the song.. Well you might be amazed at the lyrics but McCartney himself says that this song doesnt make any sense at all.. He says it is beautiful and all but it has no sense at all if you take the whole song.. ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s one of my fav Beatle numbers.
Unfortunately, I didn’t think Syesha did as good a job on it,solely because I can’t stand anyone else attempting Beatle songs.
That said, I have to admit I loved David Cook’s take on Eleanor Rigby! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Hey Guys!
I love this song .. more so for the lyrics. There is this sense of going back in the past and then this tryst between moving on & turning back time.
I thought it made perfect sense to me.”suddenly i am not half the girl i used to be” hmmm… totally nails the idea of going from “being complete” to “being left with a void”.
Sysha’s version was her very own . so it was special.perhaps.
