Day 21 Love Actually #100HappyDays #DailyChatter

Have you seen the Befikre promo yet?

Well I am aghast to say the least. What happened to the good old romance – when people craved for each other’s company and just that. Romance the Yash Chopra movie way – when you literally hear violins or sitars or whatever instrument that plays in your head when you see someone special.

When there’s conversation, there’s joy , there’s genuine happiness in being together? When the idea of romance IS NOT  ‘I would rather post facebook updates or answer whatapp group messages instead of talking to the person you are on a date with ‘ . I am tired of seeing young couples lost in their screens instead of ‘talking to people they are out with’ . The movies are making it worse.

Is young love all about meaningless relationships and commitment phobia? Don’t the young value conversation and company anymore ?

Anyway – I went into a major ranting session on twitter and just when had [almost] given up on seeing the idea of cinematic romance the way it makes my heart sing ever again , I caught Love Actually on TV.

Gosh I love that movie to bits. The PM track and that of the reclusive writer – is so adorable. That’s how I like my movies and that’s how I like my idea of romance.  I needed it yesterday of all days and just watching a rerun of a movie you LOVE , ACTUALLY makes you day a million times better.

Which is your comfort movie and why do you love it?

  1. Adding to my to do list: watch Love actually. Honestly Chandni where has good ol’ fashioned romance vanished? So sad it is no?! ***psst…go read my love series, its as ol fashioned as it gets***

    1. Oh please do . I do understand the young couples want to have fun .. and its just a movie. but am worried my kid would never get to experience movies the way we did..:(

  2. Love Actually! Ah I love that movie to bits. And yes, I was kind of put off by the Befikre trailer too, but I do feel the idea of old fashioned romance is dead, for so many reasons and the new age romance has yet to define itself. So looking forward to the new age Romance.
