Can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I wrote BlogBuddy Mavericks Introduction post .

When I signed up for the very first Blog Buddy batch [ever] , it didn’t take me too long to put together a rule book. I’d recently discovered the Midas touch of BlogChatter and the super fabulous Richa.  So when you are on a high you do look at the world with Rose tinted glasses . Perhaps that explains the over enthusiastic tone of my last year’s BlogBuddy post [ read it here] that outlined the following expectations.

1. Complete, Honest and Committed Contribution to the program
2. Sharing Ideas and Suggestions that (may or may not) work
3. Taking the blogging to the next dimension via engagement
4. It’s a battle out there , we have got to win vs the other Blog Buddy groups

When I re read that post , beyond the fun one liners , I read a lot of ME .

While last year I was looking inwardly out , it’s going to be outwardly in approach this year.

So it’s time to throw the rule book out of the window , capture some learnings and make a new set of blogbuddy commandments that are beyond ME 🙂

1. We are the magic. 

Each of the team member is a diverse blogger – seasoned & old or new & enthusiastic. But that doesn’t mean we are perfect . So there would be high points & low moments. First time rights and second chances. There would be days when one of us would be exploring new avenues and the other would be seeking some detox . We’d run off and we’d take charge but as individuals when we come together only then can we create magic.

I am looking for Raftaar & I am looking for Thehraav . I am looking for friendship & Love [ for my blog!!] and I am looking for some magic .

2. Keep revisiting the purpose .

We all may be diverse but if at the end of the day -we are here to BLOG and we need to stay true to THAT. Last year , our group had different motivations driving them [ or pulling them back on some occasions ] and perhaps the weakest link wasn’t a person , it was the lack of a collective purpose.

This year we’d be bloggers before we’d be BlogBuddies and whatever may be the reason why we blog for business or pleasure or to prove a point . We’d be each the strongest link and that’ll be the driving force.

3.Every End is the new Beginning

It’s a beginning for all of us irrespective of whether we have been a part of earlier versions or not . We don’t know each other’s backstories . We don’t have a clue about each other’s blogging vision. We aren’t even sure if we’d enjoy the content we are creating as bloggers but that doesn’t mean we wont find life long friendships along the way.

No matter where we are coming from and where we are headed , WE are the Queen [ I am feminist . Sorry but not sorry guys! ] of our individual blogosphere and together we are going to rock this party!

Interestingly all filmy friendship references up there had one more thing in common.

Beautiful locales , wide camera shots , kick ass background music & Globe trotting!

Just like those amazing movies , our stories would unfold not in silos but in journeys that we take across blogs and that’s why this fabulous team is called #BLOGTROTTERS .
